On May 8, 2024, Governor DeSantis signed the Florida state budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025 (HB7073). Included in the budget is a state-wide sales tax holiday for July 2024.

Specified “Residential Pool Supplies” are specifically listed for exemption from sales tax. Additionally, other categories of sales tax-exempt items include products that are typically found in swimming pool retails stores. This tax holiday only applies to items sold for non-commercial uses and will not apply to wholesale items.
