The pool industry is thriving, and with that growth comes constant change and endless opportunities to get involved. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just starting out, there is always something new to learn, discuss, and contribute in this dynamic field.

As the industry evolves, so do the challenges and opportunities we face. From the intricacies of bonding grids and clarifying scopes of work, to the vital efforts in membership retention and education, there is always something demanding our attention. And let’s not forget the lighter moments, like enjoying Vanilla Ice’s shout-out to the FSPA license plate on Instagram – a small reminder of the fun and camaraderie that makes this industry so unique.

But with all these developments and activities, you might be wondering: How can you make a difference? I’m glad you asked because there are so many ways you can contribute!

  • Come to a Meeting: The first step is showing up. Attend a meeting and see firsthand what is happening in our industry. It is a great way to stay informed and get inspired.
  • Join a Committee: Committees are the heart of our association. By joining one, you will have a direct hand in shaping the future of the industry.
  • Attend the Committee Meetings: Once you are part of a committee, make it a point to attend the meetings regularly. Your input and insights are valuable.
  • Get Involved in the Committee Meetings: Don’t just attend – participate! Share your thoughts, ask questions, and engage in the discussions. Your involvement can lead to meaningful change.
  • Be Active: Whether it’s volunteering for events, helping out with projects, or simply staying engaged, your activity level makes a big difference.
  • Be Involved: Beyond the meetings and committees, look for other ways to get involved in the industry. This could be through networking events, educational seminars, or advocacy efforts.
  • Be a Friend: Building relationships within the industry is crucial. Support your peers, mentor newcomers, and foster a sense of community.
  • Buy Me a Latte Next Time You See Me: Just kidding! But seriously, let’s connect, collaborate, and keep the positive energy flowing.

As fall approaches, I find myself energized by the season’s change. Let’s channel that energy into doing great things for our industry. Together, we can tackle the challenges, seize the opportunities, and continue to grow and thrive.

Remember, the pool industry is only as strong as the people within it. So, let’s all do our part to make it even better. Thank you for everything you’re doing for our industry; we appreciate each and every one of you.
