Building Code; Review of the federal and state ADA regulations for new
and existing commercial swimming facilities.

10:00 -10:50 AM Can I Do That? Swimming Pool License Scopes of Work and
Limitations (Instructor: Dallas Thiesen, FSPA, #0613681, meets L&R)
This course covers the scope of work for Florida Swimming Pool
Contractor Licenses, Specialty Subcontractor Licenses, Residential
Swimming Pool Servicing Contractor and unlicensed swimming pool
maintenance work and limitations of each.

11:00 – 11:50 AM Lockout / Tagout of Hazardous Energy (Instructor: Sean Yakicic, Amerisure, #0613249, PEC)
Overview of the Hazardous Energy Control requirements in the OSHA
1910 Standard. To include identification, control, and release of
Lockout Tag Out devices for the purpose of controlling hazardous energy.
Written program, training, and application requirements.

This course covers current loss trends in the Florida swimming pool
industry, the actual cost of workers’ compensation losses in your
business, and strains and sprains (Back injury statistics; physiology,
the nature of sprains and strains, acute strains and sprains, cumulative
injury, risk factors, and risk reduction.

3:00 -3:50 PM Working, Growing, And Winning Together (Instructor: Laura Castanza, Team Horner, #0612802, meets GEN)
Attendees will learn how to build a high performing team through
inspirational leadership. At all levels of the organization these
leadership strategies and concepts will guide your leaders to do
introspective assessments of their styles, practices, and culture. They
will then learn techniques to refine those elements to provide their
Teams with empowering leadership that will motivate their Team to
perform at its best!
