The Florida Swimming Pool Association , based in Sarasota, raised $46,500 in under a week for hurricane relief efforts in the Bahamas.
All donations were matched dollar for dollar by The Bill Kent Family Foundation . In addition, FSPA matched $5,000 in donations from its members.
Donations were given to the National Christian Foundation (South Florida) Angel Relief Fund . All money received went directly to aid.
The Florida Swimming Pool Association serves as the coordinating organization for 16 local FSPA chapters.
