When you become an FSPA member, your entire company receives membership status. Whether you’re a solo contractor or a nationwide organization, your full team has access to FSPA membership benefits.

FSPA provides free Continuing Education (CE) and discounted Specialty Certification programs, including Florida Public Pool Specialist (FPPS) and 60-Hour Swimming Pool & Spa Service Certification.

Members have access to FSPA’s all-inclusive Government Aairs department, which includes regulatory and building code assistance, along with lobbying in the state capital on behalf of members. The department also works with the Florida Building Commission (FBC) and the Florida Department of Health (DOH) on all members’ behalf.

FSPA members can benefit from a prescription discount card to save on medications not covered by insurance. These cards are accepted at participating pharmacies, offering potential savings on prescriptions. Also applies to Pet Prescription discount.

All members are encouraged to engage with their local chapter’s Board of Directors at board meetings, social events, and fundraising opportunities. Enhance your online reputation with 5 Star Impressions, an automated customer review generation system. This service, available for free to members, helps generate reviews across platforms like Google, Facebook, Angie’s List, and Yelp. It also allows your company to set up automated email appointment confirmations, complete with business license and insurance information (optional), and employee details. Members can access special rates with AsktheSeal.com for criminal background checks and the Seal of Security and Confidence program at a reduced setup rate of $99 (down from $1,000). AskTheSeal.com specializes in serving blue-collar service companies and provides a straightforward process that doesn’t require an HR department.

FSPA offers Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to all members free of charge, providing a $500 value. Partnering with INFOTRAC, FSPA ensures members have access 24/7/365 to a professional emergency response company meeting DOT requirements. INFOTRAC, endorsed by the DOT, is equipped to manage incidents involving spills and medical emergencies related to hazardous materials. Membership includes access to FSPA’s Arbitration Program, which can be utilized to resolve disputes with customers. Members must include an arbitration clause in all contracts before engagement with the Arbitration program. The filing party pays the fee; the current member rate is $3,500 (saves $1,500). FSPA members may submit themselves, their colleagues, or their projects to the annual FSPA Awards, which are held at the Everything Under The SunSM Expo. Dependents of FSPA member company owners and employees (with 2+ years of employment) can apply for scholarships to help with college expenses via the Margaret M. Brown Scholarship Fund. The 2024 application period is open through July 1 and can be accessed here. These awards are presented by the Florida Swims Foundation.
